Growing in Groaning

Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted…

Proverbs 27:5-6 NIV

“I will not mess up with anyone’s life anymore,” my husband’s response after helping a Mom and daughter.

My precious hubby’s advice work for a while and the mother and daughter’s conflict led them in separate ways with more chaos followed.

All of us need someone to guide and tell us the truth if we are on the crossroad of making decision. We cannot rely on people’s opinion and circumstances.

A friend or family member who has your best interests at heart may have to give you an unpleasant advice at times but you know it is for your own good.

We all can benefit from someone who is trustworthy and able to say what we need to hear without making us feel threatened. Answerability provides checks and balances that promote spiritual growth and protect us from pitfalls.

If you don’t have an accountability partner, pray for that person today.

A family, matured friend or accountability partner’s advice, no matter how painful, is much better. A groaning response from a faith-filled advice led to you to a sound decision.

Do you prefer a friend’s rebuke or an enemy’s kisses?
