Captivated by God’s Love

As we are heading into the year 2022, new sets of challenges and victories await us. Do we have any better offers?

Who among us will give our sons or daughters as an offering to God like what our Father did?

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV)

The entire Gospel’s focus is in this verse, love of God which means “Agape” in Greek.

God’s love is not static, self-centered or based on feeling. It is a decision or choice.

Our Father God has provided the way (Jesus paid the penalty of our sins) for us to be healed of sin’s deadly bite.

For us who love and obey Jesus Christ, our life here on earth is just an introduction to eternal life without death, sickness, enemy, evil, or sin.

To believe God is more than intellectual agreement that Jesus is our Lord God and Savior. It means we put our trust and confidence that He is in charge of our present plans and eternal destiny.

Love of God is possible only by knowing, loving and trusting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord, Shepherd, Lover, and Caregiver of our soul (emotion, intellect and will).

Loving Jesus is by faith wherein we believe in God’s character—He is who He says, and believing in God’s promises in the Bible—He will do what He says.

How and to whom can I share the love of Jesus? ____________________________________

Be blessed of God’s wonderful love by reading thoughtfully and prayerfully 1 John 4:7-21. “We love because he first loved us” (I John 4:19 NIV).

Receive God’s love by meditating on His Word, engaging Jesus in every area of your life, and worshiping Him personally and corporately. In the morning before our feet hits the floor, remember that God’s love is for us from our Mom’s womb to the tomb till eternity.

Our gracious and loving Father, we worship and praise You, for the wonders of Your love. Thank you for giving us Your Son as a pure and spotless Lamb offering at the cross in Calvary for our sin. Empower us under the Lordship of Your Son Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit’s empowerment on us to love You as I love myself and others. In Jesus’ holy and powerful name we pray. Amen.
