Freedom in Christ

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1 NIV

Alarming news about possibility of losing our religious freedom here and more persecution against Christianity locally and overseas alarmed us as we watch the conservative media outlet.

Celebrating the birthday of America, Independence Day,  reminds us of our founding fathers who cling by faith in Jesus and on His Word,  as they fought for our freedom, and wrote the Constitution assuring us of our liberty. With the shedding of blood and sacrifices by men and women who fought and keep on fighting for our freedom’s sake makes us more grateful of how we freely live, serve and worship God.

For in him we live and move and have our being….Acts 17:28 NIV

God as our Creator, is sovereign and in control, while at the same time He is close and personal. Let the Creator of the universe rule your life.

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13 NIV

Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. 1 Peter 2:16 NIV

Christ died to set us free from sin and from a long list of laws and regulations. Christ came to set us free – not free to do whatever we want because that would lead us back into slavery to our selfish desire.

Thanks be to Jesus, we are now free and able to do what is impossible for His glory and honor.

Christ purchased our freedom and the price was His life.

Our gracious loving Father I praise and adore You by faith in Jesus, our true Freedom-giver, for setting us free from self-centeredness & self-condemnation. We honor our Counselor, Defender and Comforter, Your Holy Spirit that sealed us, for empowering and teaching us to think, say and do whatever pleases You. Thank you for honoring our united prayers in Jesus’ holy and powerful name. Amen.
