April 7-Supernatural Healing and Deliverance

Immersed in the presence of God and feasting on God’s Word anytime of the day by engaging Jesus at home, at work, and anywhere we are, brings freedom from our self-centeredness. Have you tried it?

You might say, “How can I do it with so much going on in my heart and mind?”

Turn off your TV and internet including your reasoning power, “Lord Jesus, I praise and trust You by the Holy Spirit’s empowering on me to calm my heart and mind so I can hear You in the midst of corona virus threat and other challenges that I am facing. Nothing will happen to me today under Your Lordship that we can’t handle together.” Be amazed!

Today we will thoughtfully and prayerfully feast on God’s Word in Acts 16:16-40. Personalize and claim the promises on each nugget of truth.

“The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into the prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. Upon receiving such orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks” (Acts 16:22-24NIV).

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prisons doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We “are all here!” (Acts 16:25-28NIV).

“The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs what must I do to be saved” (Acts 16:29-30).

“They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole family” (Acts 16:31-34).

When it was daylight, the magistrates sent their officers to the jailer with the order: “Release those men.” The jailer told Paul, “The magistrates have ordered that you and Silas be released. Now you can leave. Go in peace” (Acts 16:35-36).

When Paul rebuked the evil spirit that led to a servant’s girl deliverance, who earned money for his master by fortune telling. Chaos, false accusation, and imprisonment followed (see details in Acts 16:16-21).

As we face threat from COVID-19, the invisible enemy, death and infection number spike and lock down continuous with economic downturn. Have we asked yourself if there is a spiritual battle behind it?

Paul and Silas despite of their painful situation inside the jail, they praised God, sang hymns, and prayed. Supernatural deliverance came in the unexpected time and place.

No matter what our circumstances today we can react like Paul and Silas. Let us turn our worries or anxiety about COVID-19 into praise and prayer. In God’s own way and timing we are looking forward to His supernatural healing and deliverance from the pandemic. Let us claim in united faith that hidden blessings are unfolding now behind this challenge.
