Love must be sincere. Hate what it evil; cling to what is good (Romans 12:9 NIV).
One morning there was an intense barking and commotion between our Rottweilers in the backyard. I screamed “Hey, what’s going on? It’s too early to disturb our neighbors.”
What a strange looking creature from our new neighbor’s yard. A little girl was giving instruction to the unfamiliar pet, “Sit.” The bulgy animal followed her command quietly.
I discovered that it was a pregnant goat. While the girl was training the goat, their calm Pitball kept on wandering around their fence backyard trying to protect their new family addition from our Rottweilers.
I giggled and assured our Rotties, “Hey Indy and Jilly that is a goat. It is your new friend like Buddy, the Pittball.”
Did you recall moments in your life that you are like a goat? You follow the rhythm of life even to the point of discomfort and confusion?
How about those times when you are like a Pitball in protecting yourself, your family or friend in danger?
What about those times when you are like a Rottweiler in overreacting to a new person or issues that you are facing?
You cannot avoid facing strange situation and people that robs your joy and sanity but you can choose with Jesus’ help how to react to them properly.
How do you react to strange situation and people?
