My prayer revolved on discussing with the Lord Jesus Christ what He had in store for me, my precious husband, my family (biological and church family), and all the people that the Lord brought to my life for prayer and encouragement. It resulted to more changed lives and healing in physical and spiritual being. I loved to share with you what I learned from trusting and submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV).
Trust is “Bittachon” in Hebrew which means to lean on, feel safe, or be confident. It is an act of the heart and will: When I trust God I emotionally decide to put my expectations, my hopes, my dreams, my desires—in short, all of my life—into the Lord and His provision for me.
Leaning has the sense of putting your whole weight on something, reaching on and trusting in that person or things. When you have an important decision to make, you sometimes feel that you can’t trust anyone–not even God. But God has something better for you. He is a better judge of what you want than even you are!
You must trust him completely in every choice you make. Do not omit careful thinking or belittle your God-given ability to reason, but you should not trust your own ideas to the exclusion of advice and prayer support of matured Christians.
As you bring your desires, motives, decisions, and plans to God in prayer; use the Bible as your guide; and then follow God’s leading. He will make your paths straight by both guiding and protecting you.
To receive God’s guidance, you must acknowledge God in all your ways. This means turning every area of your life over to Him.
Look at your values and priorities
What is important to you? _____________________________________________________________
In what areas have you not acknowledged him?________________________________________
What is God’s advice to you through His Word and His faithful servants?__________________________________________________________________________________________
In many areas of your life you may already acknowledged God, but it is the areas where you attempt to restrict or ignore His influence that will cause you grief. Make Jesus Christ a vital part of everything you think, say and do, then He will guide you because you will be working to accomplish His purposes.
In prayer we call on our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ ”…who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).
Let me know how I can pray and encourage you. God bless you and your loved ones.
