Affirmation, Answered Prayers, Challenges, Healing, Lord Jesus

Transfusion

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree [cross], so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls” ( Peter 2:24-25).

My sentiment inside the clinic, “Why does my body feels weak after house chores?”

My doctor said, “Your vitals are good. Did you eat something different from your usual diet?”

“No.  I try to eat a balance diet and drink lots of water. I had several episodes of stomach pain and loose bowel movement that forced me to go the Instacare Clinic.”

She warned me, “ I hope it’s not food poisoning.”

It was Friday afternoon when I had my blood drawn for blood tests.

I told my husband that hopefully we will know the results by Monday or Tuesday.

On Sunday, August 13, 2017 at church while we were waiting for the worship to start and during the worship service the word transfusion kept on replaying in my heart and mind like someone was whispering.

I asked my friend, “What is transfusion? Is it because Jesus Christ loves me and shed His blood for me that His blood covers me or what?

My friend said, “That is a beautiful message!”

We chatted and prayed with friends before we go home.

At about 8:45 PM the same day, I got a distressing call from my doctor, “Hello, Lilian. No wonder you’re feeling so exhausted. Just looking at your blood count makes me tired. Do you have someone to take you to the Emergency at the University of Utah Hospital? I ordered two bags of blood for your transfusion so come as soon as possible.”

“Thank you Doctor. My husband will take me to the ER.” At the back of my mind I was praising my Lord and Lover of my soul who warned me in advance about my urgent transfusion.

When we arrived the nurses, doctors, and staff did all the standard procedure for my transfusion. It started at 11:00 PM and it ended at 5:30 AM on August 14, 2017.

My doctor referred me to the Gastroenterologists at the University of Utah for follow-up. Recuperation followed.

After six months, the GI rejoiced and declared, “Lilian I just monitor your condition. Jesus is the Healer!”

I praise our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ who healed me and granted my opportunity to share about Him to the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff.

I do not have the explanations why I heard the message in advance about my transfusion. I am humbled by my healing and hearing the Holy Spirit’s timely message.

How do you engage Jesus Christ in your daily living?

God bless you and your loved ones. Feel free to contact me so I can pray with you.
